Any point talking to the old man after the final unlock?

You can kill him for body control exp and some gold...also you can get a key from him if you don't kill the critter with the key...other than that npcs have no use after maxing their dialogs...

I have a loop where I find a butload of gold and then give it to the samurai (before killing her) to farm for deffense efficiency...I kill him and the fisherman...so it mught be useful to farm for stuff...

Also killing him becomes very easy so it can also help in town...

you can talk to him to unlock the gate without fighting the key critter, which saves time on some routes.

alternatively, fight to grind body control/15 gold for shopping
