It gives me so much joy to see that you completely understood my intention with this game.
It is exactly that. It saddens me to see that many familiar games, especially with the target for children, include too many rewards like getting money to buy things.
I wanted to make a game that didn't have any of that, but people are so used to lists of objectives and completing things that when you take that away, they can feel lost.
Was very hard for me to find a balance in the game design so that a river doesn't become a race to the end, and also it's not boring but relaxing.
I hope you enjoy playing Naiad when it is released.
