Why aren't all the islands available?

Hi there! I have been playing Poptropica since I was in 1st-2nd grade (I am now 21 and a third year in college). Why aren't all the islands available? If I'm going to be paying $20 to play a historically free game that cycled out content and islands, is there a reason I should buy this? I want to enjoy ALL my old favorite islands, not just ones devs deem "worthy". I finished all the islands available on CoolMathGames last night and was hoping to be able to play my actual favorites, like the Western island or something. Any information that you guys can give me would be appreciated (i just found this on steam like 5 minutes ago!)

The Steam release intended to be a last attempt at bringing back Poptropica by slowly but surely remaking every island and porting them on here. Unfortunately this not only did not happen but it didn't even start. Poptropica is over and the whole reason it's available on CoolMathGames is because they couldn't even keep the servers up for the website so they managed to get it hosted on CoolMathGames. There is no work in progress or beta version with more islands available and there never will be, this is the exact state the Steam port will forever remain in.

The Steam release is basically a relic of an unfinished Poptropica, the only way to kinda "own" Poptropica without buying some DS game spinoff or merch that's been sold out for years at this point. If you really do want to play those favorite islands of yours I advise looking into setting up Flashpoint for Poptropica. Not to self-advertise but I do have a Steam review with links to the Flashpoint project if you're unable to find it on Google for some reason.

I have the ds game. i think its only the first three islands. and one really short 10 min original play through thats it
