HELP (sorry im dramatic) - loading screen is taking forever

i spent one day playing it from steam and everything was fine and ya know but now for two days i havent been able to playyyy. the screen is stuck on the black poptropica loading screen, nothing is frozen or anything its just not idk PROGRESSING?? please can someone help, i'm praying i didn't waste $20 for a game i couldve gotten from flashpoint (which i found out later)... anywayssss can someone pls help i feel like im going crazy, i've tried just about everything to try and make it work: restarting my mac, uninstalling and then reinstalling poptropica, uninstalling and then reinstalling steam, i've opened and closed the games multiple times, i've even uninstalled and reinstalled ADOBE AIR. can you feel my desperation through the screen? i hope so. and i was about to finish survival island ;(. help. thank u

pls is anyone awake??????????????????????????????????currently rotting in my room, my back hurts from sitting like a frog, my legs are asleep, and i dreamt about poptropica last night er well last morning and now i feel sososososososososo in despair rn, should i go contemplate my existence and my obsession for an old childhood game in the meantime or do i sleep? the answer is none! i play roblox 🫠

im having the exact same problem. I bought the game an hour ago and its been on this black loading screen ever since

Steam port is not compatible on Mac, you both should refund the game while/if you still can.

Also the Flashpoint version has way more islands and is overall better. The steam port feels like the rotten corpse of the great game Poptropica once was.

Nostalgia truly is one of the strongest drugs out there. Sometimes the childhood games are meant to stay only part of your childhood. It's unfortunate but it is what it is.

i don't have a mac but i'm having the same issue. what could this possibly be?

me too!! last week i went through all of Shrink Ray Island. I'm trying it today and it's stuck on the black loading screen on my laptop and on my husband's PC rig

i dont even have a mac. why is it doing this? is it a patch they need to fix? :(
