Save game editing or cheat?

Has anyone found a save file that you can edit or figure out a way to cheat the resources?

Found the savegame in appdata folders but it is encrypted. Resources are float in the cheatengine but editing them is not permanent and crashes the game eventually. It seems to me the game takes the data from an sql database then sends it back, I am not really a programmer to get anything out of that, hopefully someone knows better

EDIT: Sorry, it actually works, open the savegame in notepad, loads of crap there but search by your dynasty name, somewhere around there you will find a city name and the resources beneath it, just edited it and it works

Do you have the path? I went to "Local Disk:>Great House of Calderia" but couldnt find it

Resources are actually four bytes, it can just be confusing because it doesn't show you the entire number, also make sure you're editing the right process, there are two. Basically, if the game displays 200 gold, it actually means 20000 so, if using cheat engine, search for the values between and you should lock onto the correct number easily enough. You can also see the decimal if you hover your mouse over the resource which might help.

That worked perfectly thanks man! Searching for 4 bytes and then search between values by adding the 00 at the end works for all the resources. Hoping to find the Save File now to edit the stats of people, but having trouble finding the save file.

That worked perfectly thanks man! Searching for 4 bytes and then search between values by adding the 00 at the end works for all the resources. Hoping to find the Save File now to edit the stats of people, but having trouble finding the save file.

I've just been using notes. Although it's a pain in the arse, you can still find ways to modify your country (near the bottom). Its just such a pain to read everything to make sure youre chinging the right things

Tried to do this with both notepad and notepad+. Every instance of making a change and then trying to load the save causes a crash. Was there something specific you did/used to have the change stick and cause no crash?

Yea exactly, changing in save make that save not be seen by game and it not mater what editor you use

the save game data is in hex. if you don't use a hex editor to edit the actual code (ie you are using note+ to edit the output data) it will invalidate the save and it won't show up to load or it will crash the game. haven't figured out how to edit stats in cheat engine but resources are all 4 bytes.

How did you made the changes using cheat engine?

Because if I do the changes it revert back to the original value.
