how to get faction rep faster ?
The only factor one can impact is the Hack level ? So more money thrown into big servers that just spam weaken on poor n00dles ?
Or theres some tricks/minigames to get rep faster ?

I spent quite a bit of time making scripts that automate hacknet and getting money, so now im just sitting, waiting, ETA seems to be to just wait 8h to get that 100k rep with nitesec....

I only have scripts that automate hacknet and everything that has to do with scannable servers, and of course utilities that just bulk buy and setup extra servers for whatever purpose. I had about 150m/s from hacks and at that stage all I could do was just look at faction rep number slowly going up, hence this thread.

I started just rewriting existing scripts to test what works better, but still, is there really no way how to speed up rep gain ? There are factions that get you augments for more rep gain, but that is yet another faction i have to get rep first with.

n00dles is ok for exp farm early.

ahh, didnt know about the .cct files, will explore those.

The bulk weaken is good hack exp early, later it just does not matter unless you bulk buy servers for billions and slap thousands of weaken threads. I usually plant a weaken script on every nuked server that targets port0 servers. This way i get some trickle of exp + those servers are kept at minsec for free.

I already completed Daedalus, its fine, just wanted to know if theres a faster rep way and looks like .cct is the way, already writing a crawler to find em.

elegant if i dare say so myself, feeding this array of servers and a file format and it spits out servers with such a file format.

function hostsWithFileFormat(hostNames, expectedFileFormat) { let foundHosts = [] for (let n in hostNames) { let listOfFiles = ns.ls(hostNames[n]) for (let f in listOfFiles) { if (getFilenameFormat(listOfFiles[f]) == expectedFileFormat) { foundHosts.push(hostNames[n]) } } } return foundHosts } function getFilenameFormat(fileName) { return fileName.slice(fileName.lastIndexOf('.')) }
Running script with 1 thread(s), pid 104 and args: []. crawler.js: hosts with contracts = I.I.I.I
