corps seem to be the most profitable way to make money long term, but because they take too long to set up compared to gangs they just dont seem to have a use.
ive tried using corps several times and ive usually already beaten the bitnode before they are of any value at all.
like alright the big money they make is nice and all, but what use is all that money when ive already beaten the BN by the time the cash starts rolling in?
personally ive beaten all the BNs and am just farming BN 12 right now.
it takes about 24 hours to do it at level 13 using bladeburner.
maybe later on when it gets really slow, corps MIGHT become useful to get augs, but right now i just dont see their niche
if i were to change corps id do two things.
firstly, make it so you can take the loan in any bitnode. that would make it so you can actually get started on your corp sooner.
secondly, id like to see researching products made a bit more transparent in general.
right now you just kinda throw money at the product research without much feedback on what that money actually does.
more money = better profit, but how much better? how do i tell what the return on investment period is for spending X dollars on product research?
i would also like to see an option to set a deadline for product research.
right now it just takes X time to complete it, but what if we could set our own deadline for research?
shorter deadlines will give less quality per $ spent because the researchers are rushing, longer deadlines will produce better products with diminishing returns.
being able to speed up product research early game at the cost of a worse product could also help corporations get started faster, making them more viable.
The gang multiplier isn't too drastic in BN3, but still, a good corp will totally blow a gang out of the water. You should be able to finish the node using a corp before you even have a gang up in BN3 if you have a good corp script.
Plus.. There's an achievement for beating BN3 without a corp so I guess that's something to look forward to :P
That's surprising to hear. I haven't really figured out the corp mechanic completely, I don't have it fully automated yet. I haven't replayed that bitnode yet, I've skipped around since then.
