Have to redo all settings, so my guess is this has something to do with the settings file.
Make sure you launch the app through Steam.
Sorry for the issues you're facing, most bugs/crashing will be solved with v3 as it's a whole different app built from scratch, and I'm not the only one working on it, i have two other people that are better programmers than me than me to better optimize the app and handle issues.
When will V3 be released?
**********************STAY FAR AWAY FROM DSX*******************
There are thousands of people using DSX. If you had a BSOD, you are the exception. The drivers are needed in order to hide your physical controller and also to create a virtual controller for emulation. This is necessary because such input and hardware device management needs to be handled by drivers.
You should open a support ticket with more info about your BSOD, so that it can be solved and other people don't run into the same issue. Have you tried getting support for your issue? It's not fair for you to say "stay away".
That is for example a reason why new mainboards get often one new BIOS after another and the older it gets the less BIOS updates appear because they make less troubles. I have also seen a BSOD (not by this software) on my new hardware I bought 4 months ago, on my old hardware I haven't seen one for years.
"Never change a running system" ... it has a reason why this say exists, even when its dumb.
