No update or Info on Steam in 1 Month!
It has now been a month with no news or updates from the Dev's themselves. Not people posting there news from F&$#$in Discord. On STEAM! Nothing.

I love the game. It has so MUCH potential! But for me.... The no news on Steam and the lack of ROADS or PATHS for the villages and no mention of this much needed feature or building mechanic. Alas, time to shelf the game till they add content.

Update on the beta branch dropped yesterday. Thing is, if you want to stay informed, stay informed.. join their discord. Don't expect people to feed you.

Did they sell the game on Discord? No. They sold it on Steam. They should be putting update info on Steam. Thanks for the reply. But you guys are just proving my point. How many people have stopped playing? Do you think they go to Discord for game update news? Or do they turn there Steam on and look at the main page of there games... Hmmmm No updates on the game I stopped playing. Goes to a different game.
Player base is at 1000 on average daily. And given there past record of games... You would think they would want to a little more transparent and be more communicative. Just a thought to the Devs.
I am not the only one requesting this.

Doesn't matter if they sell the game through Steam, steam is a store front. It's not their work space. You have options to stay informed if that is your desire, you opting out of doing this that is on you.

Do you still play the very first game you got every day? Seldom? Not at all any longer? Just natural that games have a drop off rate of active players. My friend and me played this game daily for weeks after it came out, but there is a limit to how many times you spank Lord Ash before it get a bit repetitive. Just now we got a stint in 7d, and sometime soon we will start play this again as well, probably after a short stint with Enshrouded again. Doesn't keep me from have them on my discord list and keep get updates on betas and progression though.

Let step this back and look at it a different way. Technically it's a closed beta that requires a code to access. The only way to get the code is to sign up to their discord where you get updates and forums to discuss the beta. Most companies don't do closed beta on Steam and require you to sign up to their website, or other avenue, and do not post closed beta information on Steam. Their route might be different then a typical closed beta, but the process is the same.

I have to agree with the OP. I know myself and many others have zero interest in using Discord. I shouldn't have to use another program to get news on a game purchased on Steam. I mean they even have a sub forum for that info.

You have no need to know about any then. You have to join their discord to get access to the beta to play it. Just wait until updates go to the live version and read the update notes then right? All you need to know is they are working on the game right?

I don't even use discord. I am playing just fine. If they want to limit their base to a 3rd party app, that is fine. Too bad it isn't out in front to let you know that you don't have access to new features though. It's not lying. It's purposely misleading with no proof. I guess. As long as things come out every few months. I'll get to where I can, and if no updates, I'll just be back in say... 6 months to look again. Ez pz.

What the F are you on about? What is misleading? Here are the facts. they are working on the game, they have a BETA branch that ANYONE is allowed to join and help test new features you just have to get the information from discord. That BETA branch they have released like 3 or 4 huge updates and are testing a lot of cool stuff and squashing bugs.

Those are facts, those are coming soon. Just because YOU don't want to use that third party app does not mean anything they are doing is misleading you just choose not to participate. The information is there you just don't want to get it and then complain that you can't have it.

See ya in 6 months.

You kind of just proved my point about news and updates though. How do we know there is a closed Beta to try out and test. When they don't post it on Steam? Where again... I am pretty sure alot of players get there quick news updates from. Just my complaint and opinion to the DEV'S. Not you. Not Discord. The dev's. Be transparent and communicative. Cant they just copy paste to Steam?

After looking around, all I see are sycophants and dutiful children, as well as the arrogance of the development team towards the paying customers on Steam. The claims that ‘the updates were posted on Discord, you just didn’t use it’ are laughable. Later, the development team might stop even posting updates on Discord, and then tell you, ‘We’ve developed a lot of new content internally, we just didn’t release it to you on Discord. Why are you in such a hurry? You can only blame yourselves for not coming to our local office to experience the latest updates.

Idk about others, but I found out about it after reading about it in the events and announce parts of the forum here. If I wanted to get on the beta stuff I had to join their discord to know more.

I'm sorry they not here to spoon feed you what you want to know with big crayons. The preview branch is no big secret after all. People hating on and refusing to use their discord is their own problem.

Ah yes, name calling. The calling card of those unwilling or unable to backup a weak argument. I'll add your name to a local prayer group, your going to need all the help you can get with life.
