anyway over half battle is making sure you are not outnumbered.
Seems like it's not for many people based on the nose diving steam reviews...
My buddy I was playing with is basically done with it because the combat is so bad.
lmao no it's a great game, for people who are actually patient and learn the basic mechanics.
The only time my guys don't have weapons is when they break.. they keep EVERY weapon and shield I assign them and use them in combat when I want them to unless it breaks then they put it in the bench.. it gets repaired and then they grab them again when I call them into a squad and use the staging ground, or simply click on the weapon rack.
I'm about 90 hours into a solo game and about 30 hours into a co-op game and I have never had an issue with my guys running away from combat.. when I get a new person I immediately set them up and they are good to go.
The reviews are tanking because some people can't seem to understand the game mechanics.
Where the AI aren't dumb as nails and when anyone attacks, without needing hand holding or any commands will already be armed and fed and will never just faff off to find a butter tart???"
Love that humour Ketamarine!
Yes lets all get some butter tarts, the battle can wait, right? *nomnomnom ...villagers gone :D
Player dies meanwhile,
...you would have better gone for the tart too :P *giggles
you know. when forgetting that there is a jump button actually make the game better...
flashback to ESO..
what puzzles me is that this is in a PC exclusive. or maybe i just imagine myself that it is PC exclusive. world graphics/physics says otherwise.
possibly a sacrifice made to squeeze all the goodies were having fun with into the game, to avoid the valheim scenario where *you lost 10 fps for each torch you put down*.
Troops composition should be remembered by the game.
If enemies atack, we have no time to separate every villagers into "archers" "infantry", "shock troops" and so on.
This should be done in time of peace, and during raid we only should call them to arms, and they already must be armed according to their roles, dressed, fed, have ammo and so on.
There is no time to babysit them during attack.
They usually leaving their weapon when it's broken, or other reasons, so why they doesn't pick them back, when fixed?
Archers is a headache, because they running out of ammo, but will not replenish it, unless youll order them to do so.
This can be fine when you preparing in advance, and you can double-check your every unit, but if you are under attack this simply not working.
I'm sure devs aware of this problem, and will address it in future.
Also would be nice to have feature like when they change their clothes from military outfits to civilian.
When you call them as guards they going to their home, but doing nothing at the moment.
I guess it's placeholder and in future they should change in military and arm themselves.
You have them set to run away....or maybe they have no weapon in their inventory??
