Trouble joining Co-op game

We've been playing a Co-op game for over a week now. (Up to day 70 in game)
But suddenly one of our group of 4 cannot join.
No error message, it just sits there "Connecting" until it times out 5-10 mins later.
We've tried everything from clearing the Steam download cache to re-installing the game from scratch, to turning off the firewall (In case it was related to the internet security).
Nothing seems to be working.
If they start a new co-op game, we can't join them either.

Any ideas?

Been having this same issue, just started up today, was playing fine yesterday. Followed all the old steps to join and it still won't let me play with my wife.

Its quite frustrating. As the other 2 people can join the game fine??

The devs are EXTREMELY responsive to bug/crash reports issues.

If you can get the host to submit their game file they might be able to help:

Also, is anyone in the party using mods and maybe others aren't?.. just something to be aware of.

Both myself (The Host) and the player who can no longer join have already logged the issue.
No one is using mods

I am hoping they can find an answer, but thought i'd put it to the steam crowd to see if any new ideas were out there. Or if anyone has this same issue that could help with the answer.

My mate and I are having the same issue.
Played for about 2-3 days in a row with no problem, then the past 2 days neither of us have been able to connect to a co-op game. (I normally host, however he tried hosting to see if I could join). Just sits on connecting and then have to either AltF4 or wait for the host to exit.
We have both tried the usual rudimentary fixes/troubleshooting, but nothing working so far.

Sorry I can't be of any help, but hopefully its a consolation that the issue isn't isolated to your friend.

Same problem here. Cannot connect to each other. Hope they will fix this soon.

update :
So we noticed when she connects to other Steam games it is very high ping. Following this rabbit hole, we checked her internet speeds with Ookla and all is fine there.
But.... changing her from NBN to her phone Hotspot connection and she can now connect.
In the Bellwright Discord server someone has noted it could be caused by the recent Steam outage. Noted as a DDOS issue.
Sorry i have no other info so far.

My buddy and I had the same problem. Couldn't join him, he couldn't join me.
Eventually he updated his graphics card driver (nvidia, his last update was just a few days old) and after that he could connect immediately.

It seems to have resolved its self. I assume either Steam or the Devs have done a fix.
Either way it's all good again.
