Feedback: Wander, Strutures, NPC actions - more stuff better game
NPC WANDER ON THE MAP
Would be nice if we could control our NPCs so that they will not wander off to nowhere in the brushes and get beaten to death or eaten by wild animals or whatever. A max radius to the village center - that is adjustable or better just an adjustable circle of where the NPC is allowed to roam in.....

REAL DEFENSE STRUCTURES
I initially created a compound but since we have no gates it really is worthless to do so and the NPCs both enemy and your own go through fences all the time so its not even working obstacle - hopefully we will get decent defensive structures......I would like to see Motte & Bailey, Palisade, and the actual Stonework walls of a castle along with gates, portcullis, archery positions - real defensive fortifications

Hopefully the so called "guard tower" is scrapped and replaced with an ACTUAL guard tower that allows you to place NPCs in them and load them with ammo and ranged weapon and get some use from them - the current joke is literally a stepping platform and that is it....I thought I would put my arrow bin on it for an archer but you cannot....so cannot use it for anything beyond being SLIGHTLY higher in elevation than the ground (unless it is placed next to a higher location which would be stupid to do) but you have to be careful as your arrows still can get stuck on the walls of it sadly enough

NPC ACTIONS - Guard Patrol
I would also add a PATROL option to NPCs where they are roaming as guards (weapon drawn and ready for combat) but stay within a certain distance of the village HQ building or if you really wanted to be great....allow you to place way point markers for them to actually patrol - or allow the creation of an actual pathing patrol marker that they follow until the end...and you can set it to repeat x times

TRUE TERRAIN TERAFORMING
Would be wonderful if you could actually terraform the landscape.....raise/lower land level, totally remove vegetation/landscape items (including the non-harvest items for nothing back but pure removal)

NPC WANDER ON THE MAP: If they are harvesting plants, wood, ores.. etc they have to go to where that stuff is. If they are wandering around idle.. then it might be because of your travel signs. Assign all those to a separate outpost.

REAL DEFENSE STRUCTURES: these are coming. they just have to figure out the logistics of hit boxes, damage, health etc.. because they want them to be able to be destroyed by the enemy and as it is right now the normal fences are indestructible. So they are working on all that stuff it's just going to take time.

"Hopefully the so called "guard tower": This is working as intended. All this is meant to do is let you know how many raiders or reclamation members are coming. That is in the description. That is the only purpose now. They will be adding maybe an actual guard tower along with the stuff above but that has yet to be seen but the current guard tower serves it's purpose for what it is currently supposed to do.

I believe the issue with idle workers was the priorities - I min/max a lot and got rid of some jobs and I noted another post somewhere about similar subject that stated to not do that...keep all jobs open you have buildings for and just make them very low priorities and higher priorities but avoid using the min/max thing.....so far noticed they were not doing the weird lets take a frigging road trip to nowhere anymore :P I may give the sign thing a try as well....so far been fairly easy as I have removed most of the local banditry near me so the incursions are very few and far between and usually not that big....

As for some of my wishes, I know like the terrain thing...that is a start issue and usually once a game gets going you would need major overhaul to make it work so yeah most likely not but who knows.....never underestimate a good/great programmer :P as they may surprise you with how they code the stuff and the ability to add future expansions to the code or even better the willingness of a team to do things nobody saw coming to make the game better - I have seen a few games that started one way and after about a year or so not playing you come back and you cannot recognize the game as they overhauled it fully and it is almost a total new game and its much better than their original vision and I have seen the opposite happen....or when they dumb it down for players to make it so much easier it becomes a joke to play

I am already at the final I believe mission to kill Ashcroft or whatever his name is at his castle - I have already raided his castle a few times to reduce their numbers to see if they regenerate or not....so far seems not to...even though the reclaim/tax parties still get created from magic as they are larger than the remaining garrison in that HQ usually

I wonder if the npcs in the towns are randomly generated for abilities/traits.....this game I found that everyone is Padstow royally sucks in skills - the best npc I think I found had a 6 and 7 with a detrimental trait....the skilled npcs are all mediocre and usually have bad traits or just very weak (max fight skill 4-5) - so hoping that adding houses to villages may get me a better npc selection

This all sounds great. It is an amazing & complicated game mechanics the Devs have done here & 110% to them. :steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:
Yeah mostly wishful thinking on my part but hell if you dont ask dont get upset when nothing gets added right? :P

You are right. they do seem to pay more attention to the suggestions in discord though. Not sure if you have been there or not. Cheers.
