Dump Stockpile=Villagers auto-sort your items

Having your regular stockpiles/storages set to hold specific items is good. Like one stockpile just for food, one for weapons/tools/armor and a few for resources so you can always find where an item is. As well as naming them “Resources 1” “Food” “Gear” too.

But a dump stockpile where every item in it is turned off in the storage settings. Meaning when you put items into it. A villager will come and take the items out of it and put them into the correct storage it’s supposed to go into, auto sorting all of the items for you saving tons of time. So that when you get done doing a resource run, bandit camp raid, defend from a raid etc. You can just dump all of the items into the dump stockpile so that you don’t have to run around to all the correct storage spots for the items you have. It works the same way throwing resources into a food stockpile, all the resources will be moved from the food stockpile to the resource stockpile.

It’s just easier with the dump stockpile as it will never be full. As from going around taking out a few bandit camps I had over 500 items gathered to dump away back at base. Which would of course be a ton of time for me to run to each storage putting the items into the right one. But instead dumping it all into one dump stockpile taking me seconds. Within a few in game hours the villagers are able to auto-sort every item in it.
