Tree Saplings

Right now I've turned the forester off, but I still have 96 tree saplings in stock and they're wasting space. I can't find anything on how to limit the amount of them, because these guys just keep making them, albeit a lot less now.

What am I missing?

dont allow them in storage. they'll plant them from the forester site directly

I usually set a top up for 10 in one storage just in case something happens and I run out of mats to make more at some point so I do have a little stock.. but tamu is right you could just not store them at all and they take them right off the table.

I did the same thing you did when I first started and ended up selling all my extra ones to the village.. and throwing some away. lol

I just build a stockpile right next to the foresters that only takes saplings and disallow saplings in all other storages. Works perfectly. No need to waste space in a large storage building for these.

The tree saplings just take too much space, there should be a limit on the forester how many he should produce. To ban the storage of tree saplings on every storage is a good work around.

You can then use the outhouse to delete lots of the tree saplings. Especially with a stockpile next to the Forester designated for just saplings. It makes it easier to mass delete them.

I sell the tree saplings to towns and only keep a certain amount ~10.
