Trouble joing co-op.
Played a ton with a friend on co-op before the most recent patch and hot fixes. Now when i try to connect, the game it goes to the loading screen for about 5 seconds then says lost connection to host. we both validated files already. anybody else having this problem? any thoughts on what to try next?

I had the issue for about 20 minutes and then it went away. many have reported it. I think whatever middle software they use to connect players is having issues.

Well, the middle man is Steam in that regard. Some days back when steam did suffer across a whole lot of games I couldn't play Stellaris with my friend entire day because of connection issues.

Well, the middle man is Steam in that regard. Some days back when steam did suffer across a whole lot of games I couldn't play Stellaris with my friend entire day because of connection issues.

I dont know if they use Steam to make co-op connections, or if they have their own servers, or what. I suspect the connection issue is with that layer.

Same here, we have also uninstalled and reinstalled and that has fixed it once before.

i play with two friends since the last patch and we dont have troubles... the only case was while a "lberate village opération", my friend wasnt able to join, in the game that was saying "xxx join" and maybe one or two seconds later "xxx leaved" and once i finished the liberate, no problem... so was you on this step too ?

Try clearing the cache in your steam downloads. It seemed to help us out yesterday (but might still not work for you)

Hmm very odd, me and a m8 have played co-op since EA launch day, we have honestly had no trouble at all, probably found Bellwright the most stable co-op game we have played together. (and we have played many)

We've noticed some reports and issues with joining co-op. Same issue here, none of our group has been able to connect all of yesterday and today no matter how many times we try. Tried different saves, new games, different hosts, all with no luck.

Idk why someone should give you a clown for saying that. Me and my friend got like 300 ish hours in the game playing co-op as well with only issue he had some issues with some harvesting nodes (farms) for a while, but that seems to be fixed now.

I have the same problem. Wasted $60 on buying this game twice.
Everyone in the Discord told me it was a "skill issue..." and tried to delete my replies to their Looking For Group posts

your bug report is in the list there, I don't see it as "closed off"... I do see you posted same bug report twice and was kinda rude about it as well. If you got restricted due to it, idk..

Devs are working on the issue, people sending in their saves help them progress to fix it. But there is no instant fix just because you gave them your save file.
