Well, the middle man is Steam in that regard. Some days back when steam did suffer across a whole lot of games I couldn't play Stellaris with my friend entire day because of connection issues.
I dont know if they use Steam to make co-op connections, or if they have their own servers, or what. I suspect the connection issue is with that layer.
Idk why someone should give you a clown for saying that. Me and my friend got like 300 ish hours in the game playing co-op as well with only issue he had some issues with some harvesting nodes (farms) for a while, but that seems to be fixed now.
Yeah some individuals have very unusual behaviour these days! Still, never mind.
I have the same problem. Wasted $60 on buying this game twice.
Everyone in the Discord told me it was a "skill issue..." and tried to delete my replies to their Looking For Group posts
I'm quite sure, this is the dev responding to you today....
"Namidaka — Today at 7:29 PM
Hello. You posted a message today at 8:30 am , and you got a reply two hours later asking for a copy of a specific folder so we can investigate. We still have not received anything.
"CONNECTION TO HOST FAILED"
[7:29 PM]
We'd like to help , but sadly we can't magically guess what's the issue without the save and the logs.
[7:30 PM]
As soon as it's done , we'll do our best to investigate the issue and make sure that you and your friend can enjoy the game as you planned
[7:31 PM]
We're sorry for the inconvenience , and we hope to solve the issue as quickly as possible once we receive the copy of the saved folder"
So, yeah, there is that...
(and I can't see anyone telling you it was a skill issue either..)
No I replied back to them and did as they asked and sent them a copy of my saved folder in a zip file. And now the Bug reporting section has been closed off
your bug report is in the list there, I don't see it as "closed off"... I do see you posted same bug report twice and was kinda rude about it as well. If you got restricted due to it, idk..
Devs are working on the issue, people sending in their saves help them progress to fix it. But there is no instant fix just because you gave them your save file.
