then you make traps for small game. I usually make about 5 and check those every day.
Then you get a campfire so you can roast meat and mushrooms,
then you get a smoker so you can smoke meat and mushrooms.,
THEN you get a cauldron and you can make better foods.
eventually you unlock buildings trackers camp, hunters lodge etc.. and you can have them hunt.. but early game it is traps and you have to replenish them yourself until you get the trackers camp and assign someone as a hunter to gather the resources and replace the traps. There is no fishing in this game.. yet.
How do I find berries and mushrooms
No idea.. but there just isn't yet. They do have a stat for polearms.. in one of the menus.. so they might be added in the future.
You have trappers use traps to hunt small game. Or you have hunters hunting larger prey with bow's. Get the game, and try for yourself.
Nothing.... Food items give you buff to health and stamina... If your companions run out of food they will stop take commands.
The better the food items you make the more health and stamina and lasting the food buffs is.
No.... but they not particular interested in fight on a empty belly.
So hunting inst a priority outside of morale ?
