Trapper's Hut placement

So out of curiousity.... with the trapper's hut. I've got a trapper, its set to priority 1, hunter's purely got harvesting and hunting at 1 (everything else is blocked). I've got traps, they're set and baited.
However for 2 weeks straight there's literally been no captures in the traps at all. Is placement of where the hut is/traps are any sort of indication as to why I haven't trapped a damn thing?

Yes it should be in a wooded area? Or maybe just the traps have to be not sure. I put them both kinda in the woods.

Needs to be in a place where you have seen rabbits. I usually place mine just inside the tree line then put down 5 traps also in the tree/woods, never had an issue catching rabbits.

They catch the actual spawned rabbits so need to be where you see rabbits. edges of woods (dark area on map) is best

Aslong as they are placed in areas marked as Dense Forest they will trap animals. Placing your trapper building in the outskirts of the forest allows to have forager nearby for trap bait too and as such one trapper buiilding can service quite a few traps.

Hunting skill is used as far as i know.

traps cannot be replaced after a breakdown, only disassembled.
now the hunter is not working.
