He was right, quite clearly...
I also like that the devs focus on polishing and fleshing out existing gameplay before going for big new features.
That is very hard to tell if you do not use discord. I am aware the decision was made to do 90/10 split discord/steam but in my opinion you are losing players and causing many to feel the game is/will be abandoned. Hopefully in your next meeting with the devs/publishers you will pass on this opinion shared by many. In the time it takes you to go to all the threads (which will obviously continue with the current lack of communication) and tell folks the game isnt being abandoned. You could just paste patch notes here EVERY time a change is made to the beta? Less work for you. A simple copy paste as opposed to reminding everyone that does not use discord the game is still alive.
Do you feel it would negativly affect the game if steam users knew what was happening in the beta?
A simple copy paste of beta branch changes here on steam with the disclaimer at the bottom:
"Developers will not view or discuss feedback here on Steam about the beta. Please go to our discord channel if you would like to be a part of that. These patch notes are a courtesy to the many players who supported us and do not use discord."
This would show there is work for being done and significanty decrease the amount of this type of thread about the game being abandoned.
then i decided one day to click on the discord link, sign up, and join the other 14,482 users on the bellwright discord server.
the entire process took about .... 90 seconds.
the time it takes to open up steam, navigate to the community, and post a complaint likely takes longer than it would to sign up for the discord page. you can even use a web browser....you dont even need the app. then you can bookmark the link.
in fact, it probably took me longer to write this rebuttal post than it did for me to sign up for their discord server.
No but it is THEIR choice and you commenting on 37 different posts is not going to change that.. you're not the first person to spam all these posts.
The first part and completion of this sentence are antithetical to each other. "As a person interested in this game" part is clearly a fake attempt to make the post appear good faith when it clearly isn't.
The OP is clearly being disingenuous.
