Send help! Need to get rid of quest items!

Secret spice and strange spice keep multiplying themselves in my chests!
I dropped them on the floor and they didn't go away!
They also magically showed up in the empty chest again and multiplied themselves.
I completed the quests and they are not stopping! Now I have hundreds of spice on the floor and in chests.
Send help please!

This is also happening to us...anyone find a fix/workaround to this bug? All of my empty storages are filling up with replicating quest spices...

Is it possible to put them in the Outhouse (item destroyer)?

This is still happening.

I'm doing the quests slowly so I put my Secret Spice in my Personal Shack (T1) and later there were two. Several in-game months (30 days) later two more appear in my Camp Chest marked for Fertilizer, the chest having 52 items in it.

I can't scrap it or anything and it's getting so frustrating! This was reported in July, nine months ago.

I would probably just set a hidden, out-of-sight chest and put them in there but.. if they aren't even going away after quest completion then what do I do? I haven't completed the quest yet but..
