Bellwright
Padstow liberation questions.
I liberated Haerndean a few days ago. that went well but I was prompted to do so.

I have 0 quests left in Padstow,.. but have not been asked to liberate it. Do I just build the bell tower again?

Also, liberating Heatndean was fairly easy should I expect that same level of ease from Padstow?

I'm still in mostly T1 gear I have not ventured to go get iron just yet but do have a few T2 armor pieces.

Thank you,

padstow's reclamation party will be basically doubled and will be noted as "large reclamation party". Pretty sure I had a quest to liberate padstow. I definitely had one to reclaim it when I let it go back to the brigands after I got the apprentices I needed. Are you a protector in padstow yet? I think that may be what kicks off the liberation quest.

I am not a protector yet.. but there are no more quests.. so.. I'm not sure what I can do about that. The only quests I have (three) are from that third city.. Bradford.

yeah coin or build the village improvements, like well, herb garden our house.
I've just built 5 houses in Padstow , worth 1000 points and pushed me up to Protector.

Ohh I did not know that those village improvements actually did anything..

Thanks everyone for the input. I appreciate it.

those work but it seems l;ioke you're missing something. I never had to build any to get to protector. Hell i'm a bellwright there and never built any
Padstow reclamation party is considerably sronger than the Haerndean party...
2 of my companions got knocked out in the Haerndean defense... my entire (14 companions) defense party got wiped out while only killing 2 Brigands... a huge defeat.

The thing is you can't really upgrade your team much becoz you need the woodsman for it... which can be enlisted after you take Padstow... so.. a bit of a pickle I'd say.

Not sure of my next try strategy tbh...

Sadly I've chosen to enhance my archery skills (5/10) which is pretty useless in a battle against Brigands.

And yes.. there is a Padstow liberation mission which pops up after you became protector.

If you are struggling you could let them recapture Haerndean and that will lower the difficulty for when you take Padstow

Why do you "need" woodsman I think that only unlocks the better shield? If you get the farmer and the weaver from Haerdean that allowed me to get most of the way through T2. My guys are fully kitted in high lvl T2 gear.

I did make one trip with 2 guys all the way south and got some iron ore (Dangerous but fun). About ohh 30ish ore and then stopped and got about 20 peet. That then allowed me to make better weapons and stuff.

THEN I liberated Padstow and now I can mop the floor with the brigands.. if you are still in T1 armor you have no chance. I did the same thing you did and had to revert to an old save and rethink my process.
woodsman for better bow and bronze arrows

Not "needed" though to liberate Padstow and/or advance and kill higher lvl brigands.. even now that I have the woodsman I only made one of the good bows for myself so far.. and I'm getting plenty of bronze arrows for free killing the reclamation parties.

A creative take.. I appreciate it... but it's gotta be possible the normal way...

Is it easlier to capture Bradford first or will be the level of reclamation party equally strong ?

I need the Woodsman, to upgrade my armor and weapons. I have an archer build and my men need better shields which requires woodman .

T1 weapons and armor don't cut it.

I don't believe it is based no which village you are trying to capture. If you look at the top left corner of the map you'll see the Brigands Hostility level which shows how hard the reclamation parties will be. It appears to rise by 10 for each village you have free'd and drop again by 10 if you lose control of one.

I think also attacking the brigands will raise it temporarily but it does then drop back down a bit
