Villagers not moving resources from Harvest buildings to storage

This keeps happening even with idle villagers that are enabled to transport goods. I have several harvest buildings full (wood and mud speacilly) and villagers just leave the items there instead of moving them to the barns. There is plenty of room left in the barns and are enabled to store those resources.

Even barns set to have at least X number of Wood don't receive the wood most of the time while the lumberjack is full.

Am I missing something?

I have seen villagers idling in front of Barns or stuck trying to get to one, maybe that's what is F* up the transport line?

i noticed you have to check up on them sometimes , they tend to bugg out and the whole scheme breaks down

try dedicating someone to deliveries as their primary priority. I have a begger handling mine.
