Crafting leather is bugged

Crafting leather takes very long time, it is out of balance with any other crafting. Would appreciate if devs could look at it and balance it, as it should be easy to correct.

Not true!! Crafting leather is bugged. Crafting time is close to 1 hour not 12 min.

i wish you were correct. Tanning racks is rawhide. LEATHER is the issue and comes only from the Tanner's hut. So unless you want a city of Tannery huts, this needs to be fixed.

I just cooked a 14 minute pizza and I still have much time to go for one piece of leather... I'm maxed at 10/10 in crafting too.

EDIT: You have to remember to check periodically if you're defending a town too.. YOu can't do or see jack squat while crafting.

Build Tanning Racks to produce leather and crude wool, they produce leather (or crude wool) automatically, no need to babysit, I build 6 and my leather problem is solved. Not to be confused with Drying Racks which produces raw hide.

It takes more than an hour to "Craft" leather though. That's kinda bugged. Maybe it shouldn't be on the tanner's hut at all?

It shouldn't be they fixed it already the tanners RACK is what you want. You can do up to 4 things at once on the tanners rack its in the patch notes from a while back, the tanners hut is only needed now to make leather items. But making leather on it is still broken just make like 2-3 tanner racks instead you get all the leather you can possibly want from them afterwards

there are two types of tanning racks .. one for converting Hide to Rawhide ... the other converts Fur to Crude Wool AND if you add Rawhide and a Pelt ... it gives you Leather without needing to stand there ... hope this helps you guys :)

Had difficulty having workers make leather at the hut.

Manual crafting of leather (1 pelt + 1 rawhide).

Tanner's Hut >60 minutes real time only if watched, not watching - never completes

Tanning Rack - 8:33 minutes - unattended

My crafting skill - 8/10

Fix the timer or remove from the hut

As others have said.

Build 3 or more tanning rack so they can get multiple going.

NOTE: This is a separate building from the tanners hut and drying rack. Originally I thought there was only the drying rack.

No. Leather can be made on the TANNING RACK using 1 raw hide + 1 pelt

And as stated, takes 12 minutes. And it works.

You're thinking of the drying racks mate.

May be true. I don't use the tanners hut to do this. Really is no need to (if the option still even exists?)
