Therefor a hint: Bridges are extremely usefull. Look which way these troops will go and put a fast travel on the bridges...
When they cross the bridge they are running in a straight line without being able to change. Within this bridge running time it is possible to take out 7-8 of them with headshots (bronze arrows)... The rest of them are archers, you can kill them melee after this...
Just dont stop moving a little bit so their archers cant hint you so easily... Works perfect for me atm... I defended more than 10 times like this and until now I never had to bring my villagers to the fight...
I think the game concept of this village liberation is a great idea for an end game sort of thing, but the compagnion issues must be adresses first, otherwise it's a pain to intercept the parties. Not to mention I'm afraid the game is starting one for each village seperatly, could end me up in a liberation battle each day, and I would never get anything done anymore :)
Also, how are people getting big brigand raids? I'm at day 125 4 towns liberated I have the spawns on high for both raids and reclamation and the largest group I have seen is 9. Never more usually between 7-9. Not that I want more, they aren't really challenging to be honest just annoying.
I put my main base between the two bridges and just head over with my 6 best fighters and kick they tail in a couple minutes then I bring them back.
