DirectX 12 is not supported?

The DirectX Diagnose Tool (dxdiag) shows that I have DirectX Version 12 installed. But once I start the game I get this error: "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument."

Anyone has a Fix?

Same problem. You know, Steam IS installed. Why doesn't Steam do graphics checks before you spend the time buying a game, downloading & installing it? Couldn't they just then let you know ahead of time that your gear isn't going to cut it? What a huge lost opportunity.

After doing a little digging, it looks like my card supports DirectX 12, specifically 12_0 and 12_1, however, we now have DX12_2 (AKA - DX 12 ultimate) which I believe is largely about improved Ray Tracing, and apparently requires an RTX series with Nvidia (and ~6000 series AMD?).

So, see if you can't get an updated driver for your model. NVIDIA Experience was crashing on update attempts on mine, so it might be a more fundamental issue that this game simply has run into accidentally. In larger game companies, they'd know which features might limit their user base and allow for disable flags when running the game on steam (game custom settings). However, without a .ini file to modify or a flag to set there's not much else that can be done without a deeper knowledge.

Anyone know of a way via command options to revert to the 12_1 or 12_0 releases???

Retract or modify your post. Rude comments are a violation of Steam's communication polices. Gathering DirectX information is hardly a privacy violation as it's necessary for Big Screen Mode. Besides, that filter could reside at the local install & never be saved or known by their servers is it's such a big deal.

i have rx 6600 with 22.5.1 update (which was the most stable before)
didnt work, i changed it to 23.3.1 which supports up to dx12.1
didnt work either

trying 24.3.1 which isn't very stable for my setup and risky, if not working i request for a refund.

and not to try playing new games with 10 year old graphics cards.
honestly, i can understand that one is not willing to pay 1000$ for a PC, but after 10 years it maybe is time to buy a new GPU for 200$.

rx 6600
r5 3600x
16 gb ram 3200
win 10 Enterprise LTSC version 1809 (KB5034127)

went from drivers 22.5.1 to 23.3.1 to 24.3.1
all clean installs but still nothing

That is below minimum requirements for UE5 which the devs didn't bother to mention in minspec on Steam Store.

You'll have to get LTSC 2021 for any and all AgilitySDK based games (so anything on UE5, any of the new PS5 ports, etc.)

That is below minimum hardware requirements as listed on Steam Store page.
It is also below minimum for certain UE5 features as it does not support Shader Model 6.6 features necessary
for the game because it only supports Feature Level 11_0 (SM 5.1).

I hear you chief, but AMD says it support dx12 and dxdiag says dx12 is installed and working properly. Replacing my gpu has been on my mind for some time, but as it still works fine for games old and new I haven't. In my case I think the problem relates to .net not the card.

I have a geforce gtx 960M and while dxdiag says that it supports dx12 it supports only 12.0 and the games require 12.1 so maybe that?
