Mushrooms
Is there no way to stop the villagers from cooking ALL the mushrooms? these fiends just constantly cook every 1 that is gathered lol, there really needs to be a better way to organize what to be cooked and what to be left alone.

I feel like the right solution to this is just making the campfires have a "top up" menu just like everything else, but yeah between the mushroom cooking and farms not having a maximum, your storage gets filled without some micromanagement.

Yeah that would fix it most likely, right now I just had to make the priority Ø hopefully that will make them not cook anymore

:steamthis: :steamhappy: After you defend the village, you may realize that now the trade tab is available to you, and there really are good things there, and after that you will literally be frying mushrooms yourself, more, more, more... why? mushrooms (fried/smoked) cost 10 coins, instead of paying with your own money - offer these mushrooms from your list, and each one will reduce your payment by 10....
Thus, you will receive many goods DAILY for virtually nothing!

Can't you set a minimum amount in the storage for the mushrooms so that amount always stays in it? Should give it a try :)

Yes that doesn't help as every time my foragers put mushrooms in the storage be it 1 or 10 the cooks take them and cook them (thus making the forager gather more and more as it never fills because the cooks empty it out lol), its not about how much is in the storage my problem is stopping the cooks from taking it right away

And you tried it by setting the minimum amount in the storage? For example Mushrooms 50-100 or something? That's should mean they leave always 50 in imo

i have the same problem. i set a maximum number of cooked mushrooms at the stockpile, but my people still picking up fresh mushrooms from the stockpile, cooking it, and let it burn, because my cooked mushroom limit on stockpile is reached.
i have no idea what to do...
i feel like we need a menu for the campfire and other cooking stations, so we can set a limit there.

Try what I said above. You set maximums for cooked stuff. But in storage try setting a minimum for raw mushrooms. Maybe they'll gather mushroom and let atleast the minimum you set in the storage (should work like that I think but not tested myself)

That would be nice but it doesn't, the set amount is just how much they will store themselves it doesn't stop them from taking it out to cook it.

That would be nice but it doesn't, the set amount is just how much they will store themselves it doesn't mean they will leave that much in the storage and it doesn't stop them from taking it out to cook it.

This why I stopped using campfires, and have considered not using the smoker as well. these two stations need a menu so we can control what gets cooked and how much, or have the option to toggle the station OFF/ON at the very least.

You can turn them off by setting the priority to 0. zero. I do this alot. Also if you turn off smoker (set to 0 priority) your villagers will stop using it , but if you put mushrooms or meat on it your villagers will still come take it off when it is ready.

I do hear what your saying, but if/when there is a change at least for now you can keep that smoked mushroom amount in check!

He mean the village trading not directly on npc. Once you liberate a city this open a new tab allowing daily trade from distance. I trade all mushroom for many usefull stuff including raw leather everyday
