Shouldn't there be tree regrowing mechanics?
The concept of "Realism" is quite out of the window when you think about winter coming at every 7~8 days.

And by seeing the wood consuming rate, there is quite a chance that you exhausted all of the woods in the world before getting an ending.(Call me noob but I'm in day 92 and I only liberated Haerdean.)

Is there any merchants who sell woods? If not then getting stuck because of no woods seems like a real problem.

Yes, there are villages that sell wood and logs after the liberation.

But basically I'm with you...

Day 92 and just 1 village? I dont call you noob - on the contrary.. I like the style of play :)

why? it is a streightforward story game...not a true sandbox...it is ok for all resources to be limited in this genre...if you want infinite gameplay - you want a different game...sorry but that is how this sht works

I don't think this is the same "straightforward story game". On the contrary, this is just like so-called sandbox game such as, Fallout, Skyrim, etc. The real linear game would be games like call of duty.
The raising your own village is very sandboxy to me. And like all sandbox games, there needs to be some fail-safe mechanics to prevent noob players, just like myself, from getting stuck.

I also see the game more streightforward then sandbox, if you liberatet all towns, kill all banditcamps and fight The Brigantstronghold, there is not mutch else to do.
And there is an failsave option in this game already, you can always set an outpost for logs/copper ect. At a later state of the game you can trade most Meterials with liberatet towns.
