Can i buy flax somewhere?

I just hit winter and i need 1 flax to finish my dry rack campfire, it sucks soo bad that i cant find flax anywhere because it is too cold lol

why would u do that its everywhere for free. havnt seen it being sold

if you research and build a farm you can plant flax seeds and harvest them in the winter only way to get it in winter unless you stockpile it prior to winter starting same goes for the other plants

maybe the herbalist? just a wild guess. I'm sure someone sells it somewhere.

how long does winter take? first it said 6 days before winter, but it doesnt say days until autum

yeah, I would say 3-4 days but snowfall mostly is only 2-3 days.

I had the same issue and decided to restart....only to find out Winter was only a couple days, 2-3. If I had known that to begin with I would have just toughed out the season.

even if you can buy flax (try herbsellers) you can never buy in larger quantities.... you have to make due without it und prepare better for the next winter, i know its not helpfull... but it is what it is...

At the start of winter, before the snow has fallen heavily, you can still see the flax plants on the ground but can no longer interact with them. I assume it's a mechanic that is also used for other plants, and that only allows picking in certain seasons.

do this quickly for beginners , forage tents
stockpile tons of it , like other flowers , wild berries and mushrooms
you will soon have 1000s of all

I find it amazing that no one actually answered this question with 1 or even 2 locations where to buy flax. I guess most have learned to farm and store over 160 flax to make it through winter while grinding out textiles, which I have yet to be successful at. lol
