Trying to unlock the Town Hall...
As I understand it, an apprentice carpenter is useless if you don't have the rawhide for the research. It seems that you have to liberate either Farnworth or Blackridgepool before you can hire an apprentice laborer to make the tanning rack for the rawhide. Or, is this random and am I just unlucky to not get any laborers in the other villages?
So far I hired the blacksmith after liberating Haerndean, so I at least have access to some better weapons and armor. Many of the quests to liberate these two villages that have the laborers, are locked behind other professions that will require me to hire them first in order to gain access to the needs of the quests needed to liberate either town. I'm trying to understand this correctly so that I can prepare myself for the grind. I suspect access to the laborer profession is locked behind some of the other professions.
In essence, I'm curious how many professions have to be hired before you are able to hire an apprentice laborer to unlock the research for the rawhide needed for the Town hall?

All of the NPC and their profession is set, meaning their location is not random. I still have a hard time raping my head around this.
progression seems like:
research mining hut -> get sturdy pickaxe -> reach horndean and get iron ore -> get blacksmith -> research weapons & armor unlocked by toolmaker(check research tree for details) -> reinforce your follower with these -> liberate town Farnworth of blackridge.

The devs CLEARLY need to patch this. as you can just skip Padstow.

P.S: There are two weavers in Haerndean, although they are complety useless without laborers.

i think someone posted that once you liberate bradford, you can do village trading (click on the village on the map) to trade for raw hide?

Press U and you will see tech tree bro, after that you can go around villages check about thier professions. Understand what you need to armed for you and your army first, how about blacksmith for new helmet, new shield. Woodman in padstow for new bow, bronze arrows. Then you can go any village for laborers. Where your eyes, your brain ?
