I see. Thats a shame tbh, will try with smaller deliveries. Seems like an annoying limitation, I am sure theres a reason for it but feels tedious being limited in this way. Wanted to play without having to farm and just questing and having recruits do everyting, but not possible with delivery limitations. Thanks for letting me know.
if 20 items delivered is the limit then there should at least be food or part of the delivery being sent.
How does this effect deliveries? I thought that this system was completely separate from the villager system.
all I can say is, when I finally set up an outpost and put a person there, I was only able to deliver 20 out of the 40+ items I was trying to send, and it did the 1st 20 items (I built a storage, housing and a logging camp, left the person I transferred there to build an mining hut for iron). I have had an issue with a daily food delivery dropping off the list and having to add it on again.
Having a storage as an outpost spot near a resource node for you to collect and dump stuff and then shipping goods from that storage to your main base should work fine with no one at the outpost.
I guess the game needs someone to sign for the delivery!
the delivery system still has bugs. I was told that 1 person= 20 capacity for the delivery.
Sometimes I look up the message of the delivery to my main base and see like double of what I set up being sent. and none of other things i set up.
Idk if it's a text bug or what, since we can't actually check what has been sent through the notification feature yet (which they should implement asap).
my main base has a lot of ppl now so there shouldn't be any issues with the quantity being sent there tbh.
Looking at the patch notes, I saw that the developers were announcing improvements in the delivery system, stating that weapons would be delivered to the weapon hacks, and food to the appropriate food locations. So, I connected the dots: this messed-up delivery system is trying to deliver everything to the weapon hack, including food, wood, etc., and it's getting confused. I destroyed all the weapon hacks in the main base and voila! Delivery working. However, this tip is for those who have followed the tutorial and are still having delivery issues.
1. Each villager grants a delivery capacity of 20 to the settlement they reside
2. The materials to be delivered for some reason must be in some sort of storage unit (chest, stockpile, barn, warehouse) instead of the actual building (ex: lumberjack storage) for some reason(???)
3. Since there will inevitably be a cap on how much could be delivered, the load order of deliveries will take priority. So, if you want logs but they are at the bottom of a packed load order, they will have bottom priority compared to whatever is at the top. So items you most definitely want should be moved towards the top and items that aren't a necessity towards the bottom.
So far that's what I've gathered from experimenting with the delivery system, hope this helps!
