Deliveries not working
I am in my second attempt, but I cant get deliveries to work fully. I am sure I am setting it up correctly.

I started a new game, I built my first village which I plan to be my central cooking/crafting area. The theory being all resources delivered here from outposts with the food and tools being sent outwards from here to support the outposts.

I set up my wood outpost first and got my second worker recruited. I built a logging camp, shelter and chest and set these three items as new outpost Wood 1.

I set up for 5 logs and 30 wood to be harvested each day at the Wood 1 outpost, and then have 5 logs and 25 wood to be delivered to my main Village hub every day, I also set up for 2 berrys and 1 roasted mushroom to be delivered daily to the wood outpost, and also for a new axe to be delivered each week, and a broken axe to be collected also each week.

This is my second time doing this and basically some of the logs are delivered (despite them all being there harvested and ready) and no wood being delivered. i went over to the camp to check and at 5pm all the logs and wood had been harvested and the worked was moving them all into the camp chest.

Despite really enjoying the game, I am kind of put off playing any futher until i can work out why this doesn't work. I am not really interested in farming myself and the whole appeal of this game is being able to have workers do it all, yet if the deliveries are not working it seems pointless.

100% have set them up from the right camps as the logs are delivered.

Anyone know why this is not working for me?

I believe that the incoming limit to a location is 20 items/per person at the destination location (from the top down on the list). Not sure if you count so trying to ship 30 items to a 1 person village should only ship 20 of the 30 any given day (the 20 person limit was the claim I saw on the discord and I have been repeating it so take it with a grain of salt).

I see. Thats a shame tbh, will try with smaller deliveries. Seems like an annoying limitation, I am sure theres a reason for it but feels tedious being limited in this way. Wanted to play without having to farm and just questing and having recruits do everyting, but not possible with delivery limitations. Thanks for letting me know.

you could also recruit more people to your main settlement

I am having the same issue as TeknoTel, its very annoying as I have a Copper/Wood outpost set up but NOTHING is being delivered either way at all. I am having to run over and pick up as much as I can myself and run it around.

if 20 items delivered is the limit then there should at least be food or part of the delivery being sent.

How does this effect deliveries? I thought that this system was completely separate from the villager system.

all I can say is, when I finally set up an outpost and put a person there, I was only able to deliver 20 out of the 40+ items I was trying to send, and it did the 1st 20 items (I built a storage, housing and a logging camp, left the person I transferred there to build an mining hut for iron). I have had an issue with a daily food delivery dropping off the list and having to add it on again.

Having a storage as an outpost spot near a resource node for you to collect and dump stuff and then shipping goods from that storage to your main base should work fine with no one at the outpost.

I guess the game needs someone to sign for the delivery!

the normal box has low storage capacity, you should always use a stockpile.
the delivery system still has bugs. I was told that 1 person= 20 capacity for the delivery.
Sometimes I look up the message of the delivery to my main base and see like double of what I set up being sent. and none of other things i set up.
Idk if it's a text bug or what, since we can't actually check what has been sent through the notification feature yet (which they should implement asap).
my main base has a lot of ppl now so there shouldn't be any issues with the quantity being sent there tbh.

Test to destroy all weapon hacks from everywhere, including your base and outposts. After doing everything absolutely right and reading tons of tutorials with no success, I identified that the AI cannot handle Weapon Hack properly. Even though the tools were present in the weapon hacks, they were ridiculously buggy. However, when I placed the construction hammer in the stockpile, it was correctly interpreted by the NPCs.

Looking at the patch notes, I saw that the developers were announcing improvements in the delivery system, stating that weapons would be delivered to the weapon hacks, and food to the appropriate food locations. So, I connected the dots: this messed-up delivery system is trying to deliver everything to the weapon hack, including food, wood, etc., and it's getting confused. I destroyed all the weapon hacks in the main base and voila! Delivery working. However, this tip is for those who have followed the tutorial and are still having delivery issues.

Could be a few things:
1. Each villager grants a delivery capacity of 20 to the settlement they reside
2. The materials to be delivered for some reason must be in some sort of storage unit (chest, stockpile, barn, warehouse) instead of the actual building (ex: lumberjack storage) for some reason(???)
3. Since there will inevitably be a cap on how much could be delivered, the load order of deliveries will take priority. So, if you want logs but they are at the bottom of a packed load order, they will have bottom priority compared to whatever is at the top. So items you most definitely want should be moved towards the top and items that aren't a necessity towards the bottom.

So far that's what I've gathered from experimenting with the delivery system, hope this helps!
