How do we liberate a town?
How do we liberate a town? I place a temple and a watchtower in it, watchtower didn't seem to do anything, I thought we would go up top and shoot enemies from below.
Instead the town I think rebelled against us. There is also a fortress near by, so do we have to kill all the rebels or destroy the fortress near by to liberate the town?

Once your trust is up high enough with a town, talk to the elder and you'll get a new dialogue that will start the liberation process.

*spoilers* --------------------------------Once you agree to liberate the town, all the brigand guards in that town will turn hostile and you'll have to kill them, then you have to build the bellwright, then you have to defend it from the first reclamation party. After all that is when you've successfully liberated the town and can trade with it via the world map and hire all the special townies.
*end spoilers*

P.S. even after liberating the town, the brigand will still constantly send reclamation party.

The post was helpful to me. Yours was not. You have been reported.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
