is there a way to get resin that im not seeing outside of the coal burner which requires having resin in the first place. currently stuck at the beginning of T3 because it needs resin and it says to burn logs for resin which cant be done without the coal burner...

Liberate towns and look at trade menu on them - When I liberated my 3rd town I managed to find 10 resin :)

Which town? Im sick of being hardlock behind smt that I need from liberating a town thats like behind a lot of enemies over my level?

liberate farnworth first you can buy there via trading.

To get cured rope, you either need to get cured rope directly(liberate Crasmere) or get resin to make cured rope(liberate Farnworth).

are there no mobs that drop resin? i hate this needing to liberate towns when the mobs are in damn near full plate armor with steel weapons and all I have is cloth armor and toothpick weapons.

there is a test branch atm where the need for cured rope for the charcoal burner research is removed (will just need normal rope). Wait for the test branch to be published to the main branch, or as suggested above, liberate Farnworth to trade for resin if you can not wait that long.

charcoal burner no longer gives resin?? getting 12 charcoal from log and 20 from hardwood log!! wtf??

So yeah, as of buying this game about a week and a half - 2 weeks ago, I have not found/seen/googled a way to get it --- other than I have gotten liberated bellwright with farnsworth and they trade it daily,

Not sure if its possible to make solo, I'll follow this to see if anyone has found another way, for me now its only from trading.

Go to the Coal Burner, add ONE Hardwood Log to it and it makes Resin. If you add TWO it makes Coal. Yes, it's perfectly doable solo.

for those who still asking how to get resin u only need to put 1 Hardwood Log on the coal burner and going to get 3 resin

This thread is from a point in development where you needed cured rope (made with resin) to make a coal burner (which makes resin.) Essentially you couldn't make resin without first making resin. It's not a thread worth commenting on.
