Apprentice Woodsman...
Hi,
i am currently running out of Quests in Padstow, so i decided to pay Bradsford a visit. Doing all Quests there, there is one where i have to deliver Bronze Arrows - for which i need an Apprentice Woodsman. So... the Apprentice Woodsman is available in Padstow and in Bradford, but only AFTER i liberated the Villages, which i cannot, because no more Quests and in Haerndaen there is no Apprentice Woodsman to hire.
So, any advice? Did i overlook something?

i got those arrows from bandits, i have the same problem, even if i defeat the guards, the village is never liberated. i dont know if you have to keep the village free of guards X days or what

I've not tried any liberations yet, but I vaguely remember something in the patch notes recently about a counterattack that needs to be fended off before the town counts as fully liberated. I guess just wait around after you've cleared it, until another wave appears?

Yeah, but this thread isn't about the liberation, it's about having not enough Quests to do / Roadblocks to even start the Liberation. I can start it in Haerndean, but not in Bradsford and neither in Padstow, because -> see above.
Have you tried to sell those items the eldar love? For the first city it were these coins and the tooth. That's what comes in my mind about that ...

I haven't done the math, but you should have found/gotten enough coins? I think I've got more than 20 in storage which could bump my reputation easily.

You can also build Villager Herb Gardens in each village that offers 300 Trust per building to get you over the hump of Trust level if that's what's holding you back from Protector Rank in the Villages you wish to liberate. I built three for Haerndean and was able to immediately start the quest for the liberation and to touch on the full Liberation yes, you have to stick around and kill the next wave of Bandits who are trying to re-capture the Village to keep it then it's liberated. They are pretty decently geared as well. And the 2 times i done it it's been about 8 Bandits.

once you hit friendly rep, and are at tier 2 and researched the 'village' techs (other than the village hall - so the herb garden, shrine, etc) you can build those in the village to gain reputation.

As a warning, your villagers will carry materials to the structure you are building, and the villagers in the village you are building in will assemble it. These structure do not need the carpenter's hammer to build. The village house also spawns 2 people, and they can be recruited (the 1 house I have built spawned 2 people needing 'friendly status' and were decent enough that I recruited them; your results may vary, especially if you build a lot of houses).

I am unsure if you can complete a quest for the elder after you hit protector status (it might just take you straight to the liberation quest, and no idea if quests can be completed after liberation).

You can hit friendly status without turning in coins or needing an apprentice for at least some of the villages (I have friendly or better with Haerndean, Padslow, Bradford, and Blackridgepool. I have not done any farnworth quests. Crasmere and Horndean do seem to be limited and appear I will need to have gotten some apprentices to complete the quests I have for them before i hit friendly).

don't - you'll need many coins in Horndean atm . to work around a common bug. Building village building in friendly villages is much cheaper and easier. You either build the village herb garden which cost mainly mud for 300 reputation or the shrines that cost 15 crude stones for 75 reputation.
