Animals and bandits

Getting 2 shot by a wolf is unacceptable and the bandits are killing companions fully fed with 2 hits if this is how this game is then it is not worth playing...... So either have weapons hit for more damage or lower the animals per hit and if not then I will not even promote this game at all....... It has potential to be good if all I am going to be doing is dying then not worth the time..........

most of your health comes from food consumed - at the start you should easily hit 3-4 times your base hp from 3 different food types. Buy strength books in the first village (what the seller has changes daily) until you get to 3, then buy the journeyman books from the 2nd village. For gold to afford the books, you can sell simple cords to the 2 exiled merchants east and south of the 1st village and reeds to the merchant in the 1st village (how much they each buy varies from day to day, but the 2 exiled guys buy like 5-15 cords and the town merchant 15-25 reeds).

edit: oh, and research shields and equip one. They make blocking 1-2 wolves trivial as long as you can keep the wolves in front. A bow and good use of terrain can make bandits much easier too (although for the bow you will also want to train agility and bow skill)
