Need help with progression.
Found out there are 1 apprentice blacksmith, and 1 apprentice farmer recruits in Haerdean, the first town you came across. However in order to recruit them you need to liberate the town.

By doing so, you are fighting brigands, who are not only arming with t2 armors & weapons, but also come with large numbers.

The belltower, which take a hefty amount of resources to build, can be destroyed by brigands, resetting the liberation.

So, in short you have to fight off Tier 2 armed 6~8 NPCs using T1 weapons while also having to worry about bandits who are also ever getting stronger.

I'm stuck at this point.

Indeed, its pretty hard. I was stuck for like 70 days till i had enough people to overwhelm the Brigands. Equip some with shields, give them good food (can recommend the smoked meat) and just outnumber them. after you got your blacksmith - and more important the weaver! - its getting easier, i promise!

This is only an issue if you rush stuff without preparation and sorry but you should feel the mistake you brought on yourself and not search for a method to abuse it all and if devs give you a method how to avoid consequences you damage the game to everybody else who keeps his game managed.

We are focusing on building our strength, supply and numbers before we rise, the game does not lock you out on this. You jave basicaly a ton of things you can do to make you super strong without the rebelion being started. Nit to mention thaz just training you guys takes a lot of time.

This said I advise you to restart the game and go slower, build up your forces and rise up once you feel ready to flood the land like a tsunami. Good luck mate and dont feel shame for restart, its well worth it to have a go with firm grab and management of your people.

I liberatet the starttown yesterday, but it take me some trys. Got 8 Followers with mostly max Tier 1 armor and wapons. Lost 3/8 in the first fight to liberate the town.
The fight aganst the first respondtroops are a diverent story. My first attempt I got the taxcollektor-heavypatrol at the same time.... no chance of winning this.
My second atamp, the taxcollectorpatrol return to base after I build the Belltower and only the heavy patrol was left.
I lured the meele brigants to follow me and send my squad to attack the archers first, this way I won with 4/8 Followers downd.

With you literaly creating worda amd ideas no one side, you must feel really confused, just like your repply.

Take a breath mate, jeez. Once again, the point is you rushed too much and did not secure a proper support for your efforts, this is simply a rebelion that got pushed back.

I tried to make this easy for you, start again and go slow and you will have everything in better shape once the thing hits the fan.

To resolve your current situation requires a lot of patience and nerve and you dont have suchch even for a discussion with people who are interested in you having a good time with the game instead if having to be constantly stressed out by crysis management what apparently is not your strong side. Just trying to find a good solution for you mate before you bail out on the game.

You need to improve gear, get more people, train them, while at the same time improve your food supply and morale. In terms of units, get the best archers you can, they can provide a ton of damage, but only if you can keep enemies out of mellee range, so kite a lot or have several tanks to stop interference. Just to emphasize this, good food is a major influence on survivability and performance of your units, so make sure they get the best for battles. Still it would not help mucj if their gear lacks protection and they are not trained in combat - in such cases, good health would juat delay the unavoidable.

agree. and it's a lot more enjoyable to go slow in this game. i've been playing for what feels like decades and I've only now liberated Haerndean (first town).

Why is the weaver so important? (genuine question)

You need them to research certain things. They are how you unlock the later materials leathers.
