Villagers not building? (RESOLVED)

Hi. im having this issue with my villagers not building my village hall.
i gave them a hammer to work with, but they are not doing anything.

am i missing something?

Did you set the Priority to build?

find an NPC who has high skills WORKER. and set priority 1. and give him priority CARRYER priority 9. Builders will Carry materials for construction. when they bring ALL the materials, they will start building

i have.... erm had 1 villager, lost him on the 1st or 2nd raid on my place, yeah the guy you got from doing the quest to get the traps. hmm guess i lost that knowledge too now eh. All alone once again

i put hammers on two villagers, and set "crafting" to priority 1.
i would assume it would be "construction" but that is greyed? so i cant even set a priority for that.

Not craft, it’s hammer icon when you have contruct building active, it labor

the hammer/construction part of the priority list is greyed out tho. so i cant give it a prioirity?

This is the first time I’ve seen this. It’s possible... that your NPCs don’t have the WORKER skill. That’s why they can’t build, and that’s why there’s no PRIORITY for construction. BUT I’ve never come across NPCs that don’t have the WORKER skill. Even the cheapest Beggars had this skill

I've had similar issues here, but not at my first outpost. The second one. Every villager in my first place doesn't have anything grayed out. The auxiliary outpost I'm trying to make though, everything is grayed out for any village I reassign

I am having this problem now, did you ever find out why building priorities were greyed out?

I had an issue like that before and the construction site was assigned to the wrong outpost...
So check that if you ever created another outpost.
