Please add option to select allowed food for villagers
It is impossible to stock up on several foods as preparation for raids or liberations. You will always be low on some type of food, but the villagers will always eat 1 of each type regardless, taking away huge numbers.

I was drowning in potatoes, radish & beetroot, yet they instantly ate all the meat I gathered painfully from hunting deer.

This makes it almost impossible to stock up on food for preparations, unless all you want is stamina buffs (which you DONT, you want health buffs).

You need an option so that when you create an army or group NPCs fill all the food slots. Or remove the NPC abandon due to lack of food

I would like so we can set worker rations and companion rations. Like a set of slots in a food storage that can be filled by me. Determining what the NPCS area allowed to take.

I agree this feature is badly needed. I'm drowning in shrooms and all they eat is meat.

Meanwhile my forester keeps gathering shrooms as I have it set to top off at 10 but my cook keeps cooking them and then letting it get burned on the fire since my storage for smoked shrooms is full ar 3 camp boxes.

So I also need a feature on the campfire to stop my cook from cooking stuff when there is no storage to put it, or at least let me set a top off value like other buildings.

I ended up building multiple starter homes for myself since they do not touch those chests. I keep things there I do not want anyone touching until I say so.....

Alternatively, you can create a stockpile (or other storage) and set it to another (non-existent) settlement's tag. They seem to leave that one alone (as long as nobody is assigned to that settlement). I'm currently stocking mine up with meat/weapons/bandages and bell-tower mats for a liberation.

The downside is you have to stock it yourself.

You can set a value in your storage, how much of particularly item.

You can create an "outpost" and put the stockpile you don't want touched in there. I just had them deliver the stews I want to the outpost i created daily and stocked up easily. Really should watch a few guides on YT, it changes the game 100% for the better.

By that I think it means that if you set the value of 2 - 1000 it means that it will reserve 2 of that product.

Good suggestions here, but all with caveats or a lot of micro. I really would like to be able to just set what they may eat, or maybe a priority systems like with the jobs.

I to would like a way to set foods, right now the good stuff I put in my personal stash

That already exists. Once in a Squad, click on said Squad then move the slider up top middle-ish from 1 (default) to 3.

This would be a god send. I work hard to produce expensive food for combat and *poof* gone when I need it.
DeLindsay Jun 19, 2024 @ 10:11am
We NEED this so much. I'm sick of having to hide the Combat buff Food away (and the +80% XP buff Food) so I have it when we're ready to fight because Villagers literally eat it all, while completely ignoring the mountain of Potatoes, Beetroots, Onions, Smoked Meat, etc that clog up my Warehouse.

To those responding of ways around it, no, we NEED an option to set Villagers to eat this or that Food, not complicated work arounds that only half work to begin with.

I fully agree.
