dont kill him before you get the quest or the quest will bug. the pickpocket will run away when you get close. so you know if dude just dips let him go untill your quest takes you to him.

One thing I found out is that if you go to him at night he will be sleeping out in the open, you can just walk up to him and talk to him without a problem

Too late, killed him.

I now have his head in a sack. No idea what to do with it.

I've walked up at night he gets up and runs everytime. I've left mission and came back nothing.

For real dude. All the missions I need to do involve me getting higher reputation in villages but I cant since the missions are bugged like a mafk

Was this not the plan? Lol, me too..

EDIT: I admit he wanted me to escort him back into town, but this was after he admitted to robbing me.. So maybe don't kill him if you want to complete the quest I suppose.
