Why not finish your other games before starting new one?
You still have other games that have not been completed, such as Last Oasis. Why don't you take care of that first before you release new games?
Last Oasis hasn't had an update for 1.5 years and is still in early acces. Doesn't make a good impression as you have to fear the same here.

This is what snail does. Constantly. Don't put any hope into them. They are just scammers, under all the covers.

Please dont clown award me im just sharing my thought.

Im not gonna make excuses for devs. Dont take this like im defending this behavior im just pointing something out.

People have been streaming Fallout New Vegas and it reminded me to give it another try. So i played it for 4ish hours, then went through the task of finding mods for it. It took me 5-6 weeks to learn on my off time how to use the Mod Orginizer2 mod manager to get mods to play nice for compatibility, sifting through page after page looking for good additions to the game. Starting new game after new game testing to see i installed every thing correctly.

I had to troubleshoot mods when one or two broke the game. Some i edited to suit my taste, some i had to get rid of.

Its vastly improved the game but there is still much that can be done. However ive spent more time modding, installing, troubleshooting than i have playing. I have no motivation to play now.

Havent you ever started a project you were excited about and just lose interest in it?

Havent you played a fun game like Anno 1800 or 1404, Stellaris, Total War, X4 Foundations, or some other wide spanning high management game where its fun at first but then the web of logistics routes and economies starts to grow inefficiently and could use some refinement and route readjustment but you just dont really wanna do it?

This is just me trying to play a game and finding it too tedious to really go all out so i can really enjoy myself. But its too much work, id rather dump the idea and move on to something else.

Devs are just people too some of whom i think feel as i do. I cant imagine what its like to have to work on some piece of the same code for years. Excited to create the ultimate game no one has made before, sell it early to catch feedback on how to improve it like most of today's great hits, only see it languish and not become the next Rimworld or Minecraft or Stardew Valley. So off they go to chase the next dream game that hopefully catches people's attention.

Again IM NOT defending this behavior. But you wont ever hear me say "why dont devs just finish their games????" because i can sympathize. I get it. Im the same way.

Im sure alot of other people are too.

Sure, but I didn't take any money from anyone.

If I buy a game and suddenly lose interest in it, I don't get my money back from the developers.

The developers sold us a game (or the idea of the finished game) and gladly took our money for it. Now they should finish it. Ultimately, we are paying them for their work. Work is work and is not necessarily there to be fun or for our own pleasure.

I finish my games. No point in spending the $$$$$$ and not finishing.

It's like going to a theme park, hopping into a Rollercoaster, and finding halfway through the loop that the park just lost interest in finishing the coaster, so you slam into the ground at 1000 mph.

Acceptable in Rollercoaster Tycoon, not real life.

Likely just trying to capitalize on manor lords success of wish-listing and releasing a few days before it.

There is no guarantee that you will get a finished product if you buy an early access game. It's on the tin. You are risking that by buying it early.

If Last Oasis had any legs in it they'd finish it. They're working on season 6 still so it's not abandoned but it gets to a certain point where it's not worth the investment to keep putting money into a game very few people want.

I really wanted Last Oasis to work but I think they tried to appease everybody and ended up appeasing nobody. My honest thoughts are bring back season one, get rid of anything that flies and sprinkle the PVE stuff from season 5 into it without making it a super grind and it would be a good game. Season 6 may end up being something like that.
i just find it funny that they try to push it out right bevore Mannor Lords release maybe to jump on the hype train like hey there is a game similar but your playing and building everything instead of a colony sim

Yep i always only built half houses for my paying customers. Midway me and my team loses interest and the customer is complaining. So we move on to the next projekt. Easy as that.
I realy have to ask you
ARE YOU STUPID???????

well in actuality u bought a game AS IS. u hoped the game would update and devlope but that is not what u bought. that is a nice side perk. even if u actually kickstarted a game u are very limited on what choices u have. might want to look into investing in businesses and seeing how many of those fall through. do those investors get their money back? usually not. if u dont have money to waste, which is totally understandable in these trying times, dont buy gambles. ive also seen videos on utube explaining what happened if u cared to learn more about it. even ppl playing games often dont know what happened to the games they play

Jeah no. I live in a first world country not 3rd like U.S.A. we have strong contracts. As main you cant just say F.U. and leave you can say F.U. we see us tomorrow. Or i gonna look up another Companie and then its contract revoke time. (aka burning pile of money). And If you go bankrupt you are forced to make all work witch was already paid and signed. And bring in another company who finish the work. Not ready to live houses are most of the time bancrupt by owner, death or divorce.

Ok, you've mentioned where you DON'T live. That's odd. Where do you live?

Are there such things as early access houses, where the risk is on the tin that it may not get finished?
