He will resurrect at your base a short time later but will in all likelyhood be injured. If he dies with injuries I believe he's gone for good, Lubo in my opinion is one you want to keep.
There is, it's the "management" tab on the bench, you can queue up jobs for your villagers to complete there.
Have the wood on your possession, and goto a work bench. Find the option for traps, and tell it how many you want to make.
Or, put the wood in the bench, and queue up the list with how many traps you want made, and let the NPCs take care of it. A better option since it frees you up to do gathering or other tasks more important. Delegate the small stuff to the NPCs, and focus on more higher level stuff yourself.
