Crafting 1 required for rope?

trying to make rope, have weaver and such and mats, but says I need crafting 1. Ive been staring at the tech tree at a loss... any help here?

You can hire a worker who has crafting one or read books you buy from the guy at the inn. You can also craft what you can craft until you get up to 1. Or a combo of those options.

make simple cords till you have a high enough crafting. Also make sure you aren't in the manage tab and in the crafting tab. mats should be in your bags if you plan to craft. the system is super annoying since manage craft and craft are like 2 inches from each other. they should just make it tabs and you click the craft it yourself tab or have workers craft it.
