The Bronze Ingot Dilemma
Hi,

So far, I'm really enjoying your game and think it's great, except for the combat system, but nobody's perfect ^^ But that's not what I want to talk about.

I have a request because this always annoys me in all games where crafting is possible, namely the production of bronze. You get a tin ingot when you smelt tin ore, you get a copper ingot when copper ore is smelted, but you only get one bronze ingot when you smelt one tin ore and one copper ore together. My request would be to make it so that you at least get two bronze ingots out of it. Then the ratio would at least be correct.

Best regards,
Jeffrey

Given the level of attention to detail it does feel like an oversight,

Oversight nah, they decided. It gets better, i had only copper ore in stockpile and the NPC workers couldn't add tin ore, so they produced copper, while i only queued 2 bronze bars

No, it's not. Unfortunately, it's often like that in games with bronze, for example, Valheim or Medieval Dynasty. In both games, one copper and one tin together make one bronze.

Why can't we smelt a tin and copper ingot to make bronze ingots? We can only make bronze from ore? :-(

copper/tin ratio was 9/1 in reality

Becuase you can not re-smelt made bars, why would that even be a thing

You can but you need a furnace not normal smelter, you got melt the bar to liquid and its a ton of work but its doable but you would need to use the furnace that makes iron to do it right, meaning you need to use peat as fuel the idea of doing it with just wood, in a basic metal smelter is crazy.

Like that is how steel work, but they are operating at insanely high temps and mixing metals to ratios based on the order at steel mills in modern days. Like its doable but not with out a proper furnace... But its doable you can melt bars and re cast them again but it needs a ton of heat.

Also copper and tin have lower melting temp so its possible to melt them together, but again you need a furnace. But this how they salavage metal in real life you melt it down, and then seperate it. its doable just harder depending on the metal but you can very much melt down copper, and tin and even make bronze but its a lot more work.

You are absolutely right, but that would probably also hinder the fun of the game because then you would have to farm an excessive amount of tin. In the end, you would have 200 copper but no tin left xD.

I wasn't referring to the ratio of the alloy, but to the dimensions
