Now being a SP game with how it is right now, I am over 15hrs in and still near the starting area with a giant map to explore and conquer. This is not just a city builder or survival or RTS this is a combo of all the above with tons to do right now. Though I am not interested in speeding my way through the game either.
My suggestion would be to head over to the Discord as I did. Link on Store page down right side before reviews. Hang in there chatting with people and decide if you want to try the game. I was in there for about 2hrs enjoying the conversation on launch day so I bought it to join the crowd. Started out feeling that money was too tight but glad I took the leap.
That is the best I can tell you. There is a good chance you are not going to get many honest real answers with your thread title. Will get a lot of haters because LO did not turn out to what they wanted.
No its not abandoned they have come out with patches. Like you I like to make sure my time is well spent in a good quilty game or at the very least game patches and attention.
I'm enjoying the game. Its a fighting game where as Manor Lord is thought of as a RPG. From playing the game I know I'll get more then the basic 40 hours of game play easy.
Plus I like exploring and fighting with a very basic building stuff. Though one thing disappoints. no blood.
I;m like Quentin Tarantino when I look at a game.
Since I like exploration and I get bored with typical City Building games, I got Bellwright. It's an amazing game. I love games like NoManSky, Conan Exiles & KC:D and this one hits those similarities.
