Now getting Black Screen on Launch
Played for 2 hours the other day with no problems, but after the last patch every time I launch the game it's just a black screen and after nothing happens I have to force close it. I've already verified my files on steam. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? All the other threads just have someone asking for the person's computer specs but no follow up/answers

OS : 64-Bit/ Windows 10 Pro
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
Memory: 32.0 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
GeForce Game Ready Driver Version 552.22
DirectX: Version 12

Might be just some corrupted cached files (configs, save states, depends on the project).

If it will work but your (progression/character/world) save is reset, send the original save file to the developer (direct link to their JIRA ticket system):

Could you submit your Bellwright.log file from %LOCALAPPDATA\Bellwright\Saved\Logs directory into for example Google Drive (or any other file sharig site) and post the link to it here ?

Could you try the following ?
- Make copy of contents of %LOCALAPPDATA\Bellwright\
- Remove the original in %LOCALAPPDATA\Bellwright\
- See if the game boots

Might be just some corrupted cached files (configs, save states, depends on the project).

Thanks! That worked to start it up! Had only played 2 hours so far anyways so not too worried about any progress lost.

Literally what was posted so you can copypaste it into file explorer.
%LOCALAPPDATA% is default environmental variable in Windows to get into local appdata under any Windows User name.
