Boards and wooden planks cannot be manufactured

Unfortunately, I can't build the village center because I can't make any boards or wooden planks. The pit wood only shows me that there are no tools available. I have researched almost everything that is possible up to this point. Could it be that I'm stuck in a bug?

Hi, i have the same problem...I'm unable to make planks even with axes in the pit saw...
i wonder if this is due to:

• big trees cut in the near aera arround?, i test putting log in it and it didn't allow me or my worker to make planks)
  
• the job need to be done by an apprentice with the good speciality

....try to remove hardwood from the order in the sawpit. write me if it works

what is the skill level required to make planks?, its a crafting skill maybe your current worker or workers dont have the required crafting level?, you dont need apprentice to make planks. im also sure the pit saw doesnt need axes thats what the pit saw is for.

Any suggetions? I have the same problem - i have to build village center but i can't craft woodeb planks .

I've tried to build pit saw near village center building site and it doesn't work for me. I have 4 level in crafting

I made a pit and my workers make planks fine, they didnt have any special tools for it as i didnt know to give them any
