Golden Scales PT 2

Me and my crew are stuck on this Golden Scales PT 2 mission......."find the treasure with rod that fisherman mentioned" - can anyone help?! How do we complete the fishing rod? Many thankkks!

You head out to the point on the map, kill the guy and get the rod part. Take the rod part to the fisherman and that's it for now.

I have the rod, but the fisherman is not taking the parts...any suggestions?

I think i remember that quest, have you, by any chance, spoken to the guy first? because when i did attack him on sight (he scared me, okay? xD) i had the same problem. But when i talked to him he reveiled that he'S gonna kill me now and... then it was okay to take the thing apparently. Maybe it helps

I think we definitely killed him before we got the part. Should I load an old save, will I miss out on anything great? Or is it okay to call it a loss?

Same issue here, I killed the guy thinking he was a bandit, I hadn't even had the quest to find the rod yet, just found him randomly wandering around. Got the quest item, since then it's been bugged. I went back to the location where I killed him and it completed the part about finding the rod (although I already had it) but now 'golden scales: part 2' quest is just... empty?

Same problem. In the quest description it says show Oscar, but he says nothing about it.

I had the quest, talked with him and he attacked me. I was killing him but bandits showed up and killed him before me, so no drops.

We were caught off guard that he was going to attack us so we ran... into the bandit camp... so we ran to Padstow and the brigades killed everyone. Now we can't kill him to get the rod.

I don't know if i loaded game or what. I fought reclamation party near big bandit encampment with my followers to fight them. Quest man with fish rod parts was red. So we killed everyone and i have those parts without any quest. I thought I done that. Fisherman is not interested.

Same here I have that quest item but I can't do anything with it. Sigh.

I had the same thing happen to me but didn't realise I hadn't picked up the quest part until after I done a save. I have just checked my personal storage after several days have past and it was there. Hope this helps.
