Suggestion: Remove food spoiling mechanic from the game
I know some people like the idea of more "realism" but I think it's just not a fun mechanic.
I think the game would be much better without it.

i find the spoiling time is too high

Or at least a cold house to store it and not have it spoil in 2 seconds

keep it in but increase spoilage times on cooked food. also give us a way to preserve it like a cellar

I think the higher tier storage buildings have a longer spoiling time..right? At least they should have, I am not there yet :)

decay is to quick. I spend alot of time building and setting up traps.

Food spoils 1 at a time through a stack. So, a stack of say 20 pieces of meat, decays 1 meat at a time. What could be happening is your villagers are eating it quickly.

Also, the early game storages aren't good for storing food. If you want early food that doesn't spoil fast and can have a lot of, smoked mushrooms.

Work through tech tree, get to the Food cellars. They slow down food decay a good amount.

Honestly invest in farming. You won't have food woes. You can buy rootcrop and veggie seeds from a farmer just north along the road of Padstow. Get some radishes and onions and a couple people to work some farms and you won't have enough storage for it all. I've got 3 full stockpiles of just crops, and starting to put in some cellars now.

I mean. It's pretty balanced as is. Ya'll gotta stop living off the rabbit meat and berries. Embrace agriculture. Clear cut those forests for the fires of industry. And plant valleys of farmland. Eventually get your own chickens and cows so they stay fresh alive until you're ready for steak and eggs.

I personally think It fits the game, but It'd be great if they added a setting for those who want a less tedious experience playing. I'm actually waiting to see if they will add a "Survival" mode where you absolutely need to eat!

Stop crying and try to build stock lol

it doesnt need removing with a little research it isnt noticeable and they only spoil 1 per stack, plus you use the spoiled food in fertiliser for your farms.

I love it when games make these types of options on/off-able in settings.
