TWEAK THE FOOD / HUNGER FOR GODS SAKE
Geesus.....you rot is like MACH 2 speed and the npcs and yourself EAT WAY TOO FAST - the foods are worthless - even the large steaks from boars do not last long enough

I do not want to spend my game having to run huff and puff every da mn 5 seconds even with decent food it seems you are always out of breath so da mn fast and then when you go hunt and bring back food and cook it....it lasts a day or so and rots out from under you so da mn fast.....come on....I want to play this game I do NOT WANT TO GRIND THIS GAME - optimize storage better....allow more stacking - cannot stack squat on inventory only in the chests or the stockpile....and both of them are PATHETICALLY LOW LIMIT....50/500 come on....seriously? And its not 50 items its 50 1x1 items, but like 25 for 1x2 items and way less for 2x3 or larger items

so very true , food decays too fast , runs out way too fast . in winter your screwed .

Smoked Mushrooms are pretty much your best friend. Mushrooms seem to grow in large numbers and replenish after each winter so getting a stockpile of them isn't terribly hard.

I do agree, the food in this game rots fairly quickly and the food timers seem to fade fast because the days are super short. I'd like to see this slowed down a bit.

No, it is not.
Garlic and mushroom make fine stew out of your meat - big meat = 4 stew = 32 hours satiated + combat bonus.

One meat makes 3 fine stews = one person for the whole day.
Not broken, more complicated then you thought :steamhappy:

Traps + trapping camp makes easy small meat, this gives 2 fine stews when combined with garlic and a mushroom.

The cauldron is your friend, also you can set orders - I do NOT give npc acces to smoking rack or fireplace, because I cannot limit their actions. These are my "refrigiators" - I can store meat for a longer period of time without decay.

When it is Raid Day or another fight has to be done - everyone get's smoked meat to pump up their HP.

Exactly this is the way to go !

At the beginning there is a little less food until you have researched the cauldron. WIth trappers and later with hunters,and a farm for garlic and a harvester you drown in food, and you need these buildings anyway, so it's not a problem. I actually have to throw food away just to make room in the storage.

But the eating habits, especially for compagnions is ridiculous. i can't walk to the next city with a handfull of soldiers without the half of them leaving because they have tummy grumbling. Compagnions should't quit at all while they are being drafted, one day without food shouldn't be a problem at all.

Maybe just add a little negative trait after 24 hours or so, but this babysitting must stop, it's in direct conflict with the main game feature of building armies to conquer and defend cities.

Traps aren't working anymore after a few catches for a trapper. They will just idle around with bait inside without catching anything for days while being in a forested area.

You need to create traps in your storage, then the trapper will replace the broken traps. He will just not build them himself.

I have 6 of them on top up stored, they show as *set* in the trapper hut and ain't producing anything after 2 catches anymore.
They also won't get replaced because of that.
