Fast Travel

anyone figured out how it works? I have couple of travel signs built but no clue as to how to use them

Go to map, select sign post you want to travel to and select travel.

can you fast travel from anywhere, or only another fast travel location?

You need to build the travel posts yourself in locations where you want to travel to. So for example you have one near your base then place a second post near a village.

You then need to look at the travel post and select fast travel, it will open up the map, you now need to click on the icon for second post to travel to it.

If there are enemies nearby you will not be able to fast travel. Fast travel points in the map will have a red "X" should that be the case.

Eventually the "X" will disappear real-time depending on how long the AI patrol nearby. For me it's usually a minute or two.

idk what i'm doing wrong. if I click a signpost on the map it just drops a highlight/waypoint(?) marker on it

You need more than ONE travel post. For me the best way to use it would be to walk up to it and interact with it.

just tried again and it works now lol maybe it was a bug that got fixed

You can't fast travel from anywhere. You need to interact with a sign post, which brings up the map, then select the signpost at your destination, the drop down menu comes up saying Travel. Then you can fast travel there. That said. I'm glad they plan to add horses at some point, it can't be soon enough.

Other thing, companions can't follow you using fast travel.
