Where the river reeds?

Firstly, I'm enjoying this hot mess and today I hope to be hooked :)

I get it that material is reserved / owned by the town, but is there another water area near where we are to start shop outside of town?

Research is on hold for now, could one of you point me to the water hole that the map is hiding right now in shade? I'm past the wolf pelt quest and trying to get started with mining...but no reeds.

Keep an eye out for water - it's around it. That pond near the starter village - the road that leads from there to the SE i think it is, big lake down there. Very beautiful area actually but beware, lots of wolves!

There's also another smaller lake sort of SW of the second town too - quite a few bandits on the other side of it.

If you see river in y our map with little lake at the end that's where they are. Even if your map still shading because not been there, you can tell it's a river by just looking at it.
