How to get simple cord without a weaver

Hello, loving the game so far but I'm trying to do quests for the people in town but both need some simple cords. I have one I picked up off a bandit but I can't find or make any! Please help! I need villagers!

You probably know this, but you can personally use crafting stations. Ingredients have to be in your inventory...not the management inventory for the crafting station. Then just click on simple cords and you start making them

Yeah that loom has 2 completely sides to it. Look at the corner, the right will make the cord the left makes clothing and such. Absolutely works really easy was doing it last night.

There is a craftsman just SE of the first village....he is nearby a pond where your first reeds can be gotten....look past the hunter npc quest hilltop....he is down there....usually has both cords and rope and usually hide and can sell 1 metal scrap as well that everyone wants off bandits
